How to learn the market?
I have seen people buying and selling, buy low sell high they say.
The thing is i don't have any idea what items are worth, the pc forum seems to be kinda out of date. So my question's to all you "Traders or Power Traders" as some call it is: How do you determine the value of items? How can you Trade efficiently? How do you know when is best to buy/sell?(when your being ripped of or when you get a great deal)... |

I can only speak for myself: hang around the buy/sell/high-end and PC sections right here on Guru - you'll soon get an idea of what price an item will sell at - and how fast.
Trading efficiently - make a sales thread right here on Guru (don't forget to read the rules before you do) - there's a guide at the top of the list in the sell forum. "How do you know when is best to buy/sell?(when your being ripped of or when you get a great deal)..." - not quite sure what you mean to ask,- but an old saying states that a successful barter leaves both customer and merchant smiling. I hate being ripped off - so do onto others as you would have them do onto you (That being said: if someone offers at a given price, I feel free to buy their stuff,- even if I feel its worth more than they are asking) Cheers! |

its so late in the game now its almost not worth it to power-trade. it was very profitable back in the "hay-day" without investing an inordinate amount of in-game or forum time. nowadays, if you dont have the time to invest i wouldnt even bother.

Hang round the sell/buy forums here on guru, and look at the pc's as well. Whenever your in kamadam pay attention to the trade chat and see what people are buying and selling and at what prices. It can be hard to get into trading, to some it comes naturally, to others not. Always sell items at a profit and make sure you aren't being ripped off, if buying or selling an items it's a good idea to ask your alliance to see what they think about it. You often need a spot of luck, and need to find the right person at the right time.
Good luck |

Generally most of the old PC lists on the Guru Forums are out of date - however the guys looking after it do sterling work in answering any specific weapon questions. If you hang round Kammadan you can probably work it out anyway.

As korcan said, getting started in trading, especially power trading, is kind of pointless the way the economy stands these days. Unless you already somehow have gobs of capital to get started with it will be incredibly difficult to make serious money trading. There really is no such thing as buying low to sell high anymore, it???s more like buying high to sell a little bit higher now. Time was you could find a bargain for 100k and turn it over for a couple of hundred k profit, but not so much anymore.
If you are intent on getting into trading though a few suggestions I would make:
